Managed WordPress maintenance

Keep WordPress maintained.Keep control of your own site.

Ongoing technical maintenance for business WordPress and WooCommerce websites: updates, security checks, backup setup, monitoring, and direct support when something needs attention.

Updating WordPress is easy. Maintaining a production site is broader than clicking “Update all”.

Most routine updates are uneventful. The value of managed maintenance is having a technical process around them: current backups, sensible timing, verification afterward, and someone who can diagnose a compatibility problem when an update does not go as planned.

Reduce maintenance debt

Old plugins, unsupported PHP versions, abandoned administrator accounts, and skipped updates increase the amount of work required when something eventually breaks.

Catch failed updates

An update showing as complete does not prove checkout, forms, cron jobs, integrations, or custom functionality still behave correctly.

Keep recovery practical

A backup is useful only when it is recent, complete, accessible, and stored somewhere you can still reach when the website itself has a problem.

Get direct technical help

When a real issue appears, it can be investigated as a development or infrastructure problem instead of being reduced to another automated maintenance report.

Maintenance built around the site you actually run

The exact scope depends on whether the website is a brochure site, WooCommerce store, membership platform, content site, or a custom WordPress build. The goal is useful technical maintenance, not a generic dashboard report.

Core, plugin & theme updates

Updates are reviewed and applied with the site in mind rather than treated as a blind bulk-update task. Important functionality is checked afterward, and update problems are investigated directly.

Security maintenance

Keep WordPress, plugins, themes, PHP compatibility, administrator access, and common security settings under review so avoidable problems do not accumulate quietly.

Backup setup & verification

Configure a suitable backup schedule, make sure both files and database are covered, use remote storage where appropriate, and verify that backups are actually being created.

Uptime & error awareness

Monitor availability and investigate recurring errors or warning signs before a small technical issue becomes prolonged downtime or a broken business workflow.

Business-critical checks

For WooCommerce and other transactional sites, maintenance can include checks around checkout, forms, payments, subscriptions, scheduled actions, or integrations after meaningful updates.

Direct technical support

When something needs attention, you communicate with the developer doing the work rather than passing through an account-management or outsourced support layer.

Your backups remain yours

Webtaculos does not host or retain client backups on its own infrastructure. Instead, we help choose and configure an appropriate backup solution using storage that you own and control.

No proprietary backup vault and no backup lock-in

Remote backups can be configured with services such as Dropbox, Google Drive, S3-compatible storage, or another suitable provider. A small website may fit comfortably within storage you already have or a provider's free allowance. A larger WooCommerce, media-heavy, or frequently backed-up site may require paid storage.

Any third-party storage cost is separate from the maintenance service and is paid directly to the storage provider. If the maintenance relationship ends, the storage account and the backup data remain under your control.

Start with the current state, then maintain from a known baseline

A site that has been neglected for two years needs a different onboarding process from a healthy site that is already updated regularly.

01

Initial technical review

Review the WordPress version, plugins, theme, PHP environment, current backup approach, update history, user access, and any known recurring problems.

02

Set up a maintainable baseline

Resolve obvious maintenance debt, agree what needs monitoring, configure backups and update handling, and document any areas that require special care.

03

Ongoing updates and checks

Apply maintenance regularly, verify the site after meaningful changes, and handle compatibility issues rather than leaving failed updates unresolved.

04

Escalate real problems when needed

If maintenance uncovers a larger development, hosting, performance, or security issue, it is separated from routine maintenance and discussed before additional work is undertaken.

Maintenance is preventive support, not an unlimited development retainer

Clear scope before additional work

Routine maintenance covers the agreed update, monitoring, backup, and verification work. New features, major redesigns, complex performance projects, migrations, or substantial repairs are quoted separately when they arise rather than being hidden inside an inflated maintenance fee.

Tell me about the site you want maintained

Include the website URL, what the site does, whether it uses WooCommerce or other business-critical functionality, and how updates and backups are currently handled. Do not send passwords through this form.
